Enthusiasm will make it easier for you to achieve your goals. In order to achieve your goals, you first need to be aware of what exactly they are. Perhaps you are dissatisfied with your current life situation. “I need to change something” is a good start, but it’s not a real goal. So be clear about what exactly you want to achieve. Examples of concretely formulated goals look like this:

“I want to live zero waste.”

“I want to build my own business.”

“I want to boost my self-confidence”.

If you know what your goals are, articulate them as positively as possible. So instead of saying: “I want to have less stress”, try: “I want to be calm and relaxed”. How you formulate your goals is important – our subconscious now associates positive emotions with the project. And frustration is less motivating than enthusiasm.

Write down your goals on a piece of paper or in a notebook. If you formulate your plan in writing, your desire will be more firmly anchored in your consciousness. You can also write down why this goal is important to you. How will you feel when you have achieved it? What things will change in your life? This way, you can look up your goals and your enthusiasm for them at any time if you lose sight of them in everyday life.


Develop a strategy to achieve your goals. You’ve already taken the first step towards achieving your goals. Now you need to think about a strategy for how you want to approach your project. You can ask yourself the following questions:

  • How much time do you need to achieve your goal?
  • How often do you want to work on your project?
  • Does it help to divide the goal into smaller stages?
  • How should you set your priorities in future?
  • Which old habits are preventing you from achieving your goals?
  • What new habits can you establish step by step?

As soon as you know what your goal and the corresponding roadmap look like, you should get started. Don’t hesitate to put your plan into action: You don’t have to wait until you’ve attended another seminar, it’s Monday or someone gives you permission to finally get started.

Take action and allow yourself to make mistakes. They are a natural part of the process. You can also work on your fear of failure and overcome it. It will certainly also help you to connect with people who have already achieved this goal or are on their way to doing so.


Don’t let your doubts get you down – you can achieve your goals. If you have a big goal, you’re bound to have doubts from time to time. Especially when we don’t make progress or an idea doesn’t work, we quickly become discouraged.
